Early life
Lady Rudderforth grew up close to the Sandringham Estate, the country house and private home of Queen Elizabeth II (the former Monarch of the United Kingdom). She spent most of her childhood here and attending school. Her father would often take her to royal engagements at the main house as well as in London at the palace.

Park House is located on the grounds of the Sandringham Estate and is now famously known as the birthplace of Princess Diana of Wales. During one of the royal visits to Park House, Lady Rudderforth was officially introduced to Queen Elizabeth II's sister Princess Margaret. This was the beginning of a strong bond between the two. From then on, Lady Rudderforth regularly attended music and etiquette lessons with the royal children. She and Margo (Princess Margaret) would often play together around the Estate, sometimes joined by Lilibet (Queen Elizabeth II) .
